DigiLine® Direct-Print Aligners

Direct 3D Printing

Engineered from the digital file, not pressure-formed over a model.

DigiLine® aligners are directly 3D printed from a digital file. This manufacturing approach allows the aligner geometry to be created as designed rather than formed over a physical model.

Direct printing also enables greater control over the appliance itself, including variable thickness within a single aligner and targeted force placement for specific teeth.

More Control Within the Aligner

Direct printing supports consistent geometry, engineered thickness and patient-specific force placement within the appliance design.

Engineered Thickness

Targeted Force Delivery

Different areas of one aligner can be designed with different thicknesses.

Variable thickness gives the design greater control over where force is placed within the aligner. Specific areas can be engineered around the treatment needs of individual teeth instead of relying on one uniform tray thickness.

This built-in design control can also reduce reliance on mechanical compensation such as composite attachments during early treatment stages.

Designed Into the Appliance

Variable thickness supports targeted force placement while keeping the biomechanics within the aligner design itself.

Shape-Memory Material

Thermal Reactivation

A material designed to recover its intended form.

DigiLine® aligners are made with a shape-memory resin that can be thermally reactivated with hot water. Reactivation helps the aligner recover its intended shape before reinsertion.

The combination of direct-print design and shape-memory material is intended to support more consistent force behavior over time.

A Simple Daily Interaction

Thermal reactivation gives patients a straightforward way to help the aligner recover its intended form before wear.

Clinical Experience

Designed for Tracking and Comfort

Consistent geometry and controlled force distribution support the treatment experience.

DigiLine® is designed to track predictably through consistent thickness and force distribution. The direct-print approach also avoids the uneven material deformation associated with pressure-forming over a model.

Controlled force placement and shape-memory material are designed with patient comfort in mind, while reduced reliance on attachments can support a cleaner esthetic experience.

Reduced Reliance on Attachments

Targeted force placement can reduce the need to rely on composite attachments as the primary way to influence movement during early stages of treatment.

Material and Regulatory

Purpose-Built for Direct-Print Aligners

Shape-memory material with regulatory credibility.

DigiLine® uses an FDA-cleared aligner resin. The formulation is biocompatible and UV-blocker-free, with shape-memory behavior designed for thermal reactivation.

These material characteristics work together with direct-print manufacturing to support the DigiLine® approach to engineered clear aligners.
